This small painting is of my wife; painted on birch panel. Each portrait I do of her portrays a different feeling or reveals a different symbolic or referential imaginative core in the manner with which I see her. This painting reflects a certain homage to Vermeer, in the light and close intimacy, and the stylistic representation of her dress.
Birch panel is natural laminated hardwood, and due to the small size it is uncradled.
